Chabot features two amazing theaters: a full-dome digital planetarium and a giant screen theater. Chabot's Planetarium offers prerecorded programs, immersive astronomer led live presentations and the new digital full-dome show, Tales of the Maya Skies. The 70-foot MegaDome giant screen theater features thrilling larger than life films that will take you to the depths of the ocean, on a helicopter flight over Egypt, or to the Triassic Period to roam with the dinosaurs. See our complete show descriptions and show times.

THE UNIVERSE

Chabot’s Observatory is open Friday & Saturday evenings. Visit our three giant telescopes, Leah, Rachel and Nellie to view incredible objects such as our Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and Venus; Nebulae, Star Clusters and more. Telescope viewing is weather permitting. Check out the weather link on our sky calendar for viewing conditions. Tour the Universe in one of Chabot’s live 8pm planetarium presentations. See Immersive Space on Friday or Sky Tonight on Saturday.
